Richard A. Holthaus

Richard Holthaus has over 15 years of corporate finance expertise. Before joining HCP, he began his career in venture/development capital in both Eastern European and North African emerging economies with the private equity firm Argos Soditic - France. He later joined the Healthcare Group at Arthur Andersen's Corporate Finance team, and whilst based in France, he was responsible for cross-border execution and origination between US/UK clients into Western Europe.

During his tenure with Arthur Andersen, Richard completed over 15 healthcare deals in the medical technology, pharmaceutical and deathcare sectors. Returning to the US, Richard leveraged his European experience and joined the investment banking team at Jefferies & Co., where he focused on M&A, restructuring/recapitalizations, private placements and LMBO financing assignments.

During his career, Richard has realized some U$3.1bn in origination, structuring and execution of highly leveraged transactions in the Canadian and European medical, textile and deathcare industries. Richard earned a double Bachelors of Arts from Colgate University in 1995, where he graduated cum laude.
